While your application, photo ID and selfie ID are being reviewed by the Creator Support team, you can upload your first clip!


Click the "upload my first clip" button to proceed to the uploader.



If your clip is not ready yet, no worries! Skip for now and once ready, you can find the "upload first clip" button on your dashboard.


Before you continue, you must check off the Compliance Affirmations and press "I Certify" to proceed to the uploader - https://workspace.clips4sale.com/upload




Step 1 - Clip Details

You should complete the following details describing the clip to maximize discoverability for customers, new and existing. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

  • Clip Title*- Write a compelling and descriptive title reflecting the clip's content. A well-chosen title can draw viewer attention and offer a glimpse into the clip's content.
    • To simplify the process, the clip title is automatically filled based on the Clip File Name, however, it can be edited.
  • Orientation* - Choose the orientation that best describes the majority of your clip's content.
  • Description - Write a summary that highlights key content and sets viewer expectations. A well-crafted description can increase viewer engagement and sales.
  • Category* - Identify the primary category that represents the main theme or subject of the clip.
  • Related Categories - Select a maximum of 5 additional relevant categories. These help viewers discover the clip when exploring similar content.
  • Keywords - Include relevant keywords associated with this clip. Keywords Improves search results performance. Max 15 keywords.
  • Content Classification- Select classification for this clip:
    • None of the below (Default)
    • Animated Only - The content I am uploading is ANIMATED/COMPUTER GENERATED ONLY and does not contain any visual depictions of real performers.
  • Performers- Select Performers that appear in this clip or if none, check a “there are no performers in my clip” box.
  • Price* - Set your clip price between $2.99 and $999.99. We recommend that you set your clip's price by comparing it to similar clips on C4S, taking into account duration and category.

  • Feature This Clip - If checked, this clip will show up in “Featured Clips” on your store page.


NOTE: As soon as your clip is fully uploaded, a draft is automatically created so you do not lose your progress even if you accidentally refresh or close the page. To continue editing and publishing your draft later, go to Sell > Content Management. Keep in mind that drafts are kept for 30 days, if you do not publish it after this period, they will be deleted.



Step 2 - Previews

Now it's time to set your clip thumbnail and a preview! Our system can auto-generate a clip thumbnail and 30-second preview for your clip, and you can also upload your custom ones! 


Thumbnail - select an auto-recommended thumbnail or upload an image that best illustrates your video content. The most successful thumbs show faces, action, and don’t have text.

  • Max file size: 2 MB

Preview - Select auto-recommended 30-second preview or upload your custom clip preview designed to captivate and compel customers to purchase your clip.

  • Max preview length: 60 seconds | 100 MB max | MP4 format




Step 3 - Publish

You're almost there! Decide whether you'd like to activate/publish the clip now or schedule it for later.

  • Publish Now - We will review your clip right away and it will be live in your store as soon as it’s approved. You are not able to edit the clip until the review is completed.
  • Schedule for Later- Your clip will be activated at your pre-selected date and time in Eastern Time (New York).
    • You can schedule your clips 365 days in advance.



Once you submit your clip, it will be sent to our Content Moderation team for review. Keep an eye out for an email from them or you can also check your clip status on the Sell > Content Management page.
