Uploading content by FTP is fast and easy!

You can use free FTP clients such as FileZilla (https://filezilla-project.org/) to upload content right to your studio! To change this setting in another FTP client you will need to read the user manual.

IMPORTANT: You MUST change the FTP timeout setting to 120 seconds. To do this in FileZilla you need to go to SETTINGS -> CONNECTION -> Timeout in seconds: 120

Once you install the FTP client you will need to some basic set-up so you can connect to the Clips4Sale server for your account.

Our FTP host address is: ftp.clips4sale.com

You will use your studio admin username and password to set-up the FTP access.

Also, an FTP can only be used for uploading, no file changes (rename, cut, copy etc.) or file deletions can be done from an FTP.

Once you have your account added to your FTP client, and you connect to the Clips4Sale server, you will see the FTP client is split in half. One side is your computer's folder tree and the other side is the Clips4Sale server folder tree.

Double click on the folder you want to upload the new content into, for example: if you are adding clips, then double click on the "clips" folder to open it. You will see ALL clip files on your account.

Remember: You can not delete, download, or change the files on the server. You can ONLY upload content. If you need to access your content for download you need to contact support.

With the "receiving" folder open on the Clips4Sale server, you will then need to navigate to the folder where your content is stored on your computer.

To add your files into the upload queue you simply double click or drag & drop the files into the proper folders and they will begin to upload. That's it! Your files will upload and be in your admin for you to add when you're ready.
